FAQs

How long will I be without my watch for?

Watch refinishing / refurbishment usually takes 5-7 business days to complete, mechanical overhauls are usually completed in under 8 weeks, battery replacements, valet and other repairs can be completed while you wait. If you need your watch returned before a certain day, please let us know, we’ll always do our best to accommodate.

Do you repair replica watches?

We are unable to help with any watches that are not genuine. As convincing as some may look, we have never come across a replica watch that is of a quality that can be repaired. When disassembling and servicing a watch, we are often faced with issues that we would not experience with even a genuine watch. In addition, as we don’t know who made the watch, we are unable to source replacement parts.

Will the watch be water resistant after the repair?

All water resistant watches are tested upon completion of any repair to confirm its water resistance. We use state of the art Swiss pressure testing equipment to determine if a watch is water resistant without the need for your watch to be submerged in water. We take every reasonable step to reseal watches upon completion, replacing gaskets at no extra cost where required. In some cases it’s not possible to reseal a watch without further intervention, for example, by replacing a damaged crown, in which case an estimate for further works will be provided.

How accurate will my mechanical watch be after a mechanical overhaul service?

For modern chronometer certified watches we aim to achieve an accuracy within the manufacturer’s specification. For vintage and neo-vintage watches, we strive for the exact same specifications, but practically it is not always achievable. We offer a 12 month warranty with all our mechanical overhaul services and if your watch is running fast or slow, you’re more than welcome to return your watch to our workshop to be regulated.
